Korean policy
This page is a short summary. The Korean privacy policy is the full policy and prevails if the texts differ.
Data and retention
hiniki has no human accounts or sign-in. It uses a one-year anonymous cookie (hiniki_anon) and its hash to distinguish conversations. Search queries, requests, provider calls, usage events and conversation data are recorded.
After 270 days, a daily process removes linkage fields from eligible logs. Query text, timestamps and measurements remain without an automatic deletion deadline; personal information typed into the query is not removed by this process. AI conversations expire after 90 days from the last activity, with up to 100 turns per conversation. Expired conversations are deleted in batches on server startup and daily, so actual deletion can be delayed when a backlog exists. Detailed quality events are kept for 30 days; daily aggregates remain.
Up to eight recent searches are stored locally in your browser, together with temporary screen snapshots and preferences. You can delete recent searches or site data, and request conversation deletion by email. Service-worker page caches may retain search queries in request URLs until site data is cleared or the cache version changes; removing a recent search or closing a session does not clear these caches. Deleting a cookie may prevent access to an existing conversation without deleting its server copy. API keys are stored as hashes; revocation does not delete their management record.
External services and international processing
Search queries, options and lookup values may be sent to external web search, document and channel providers. AI questions, context and source documents may be sent through an AI relay to the model provider. Not every provider is called for every request.
The delivery and security provider provides CDN, tunnel, security and email routing. The backup provider stores backups of the API-key database, search database (including conversations), downloaded archives and backup manifests; log files and browser storage are not included. Backup files are not separately encrypted. The email provider receives contact emails, and the icon provider receives result hostnames to supply site icons. The font delivery provider supplies fonts. External links and video services apply their own policies.
Data may be processed outside Korea, including in the United States and providers’ global infrastructure. Provider retention and processing locations depend on the applicable service policy and contract. The Korean policy links to those policies. You may ask about or object to international processing by email; features that require it may become unavailable.
Rights, crawling and contact
You or your authorized representative may request access, correction, deletion or restriction by emailing hiniki@hiniki.net. Anonymous records may be difficult to link back to you after cookie loss or anonymization.
HinikiBot collects public web documents and observes robots.txt. To request removal or report privacy or copyright concerns, email the URL and reason. A robots.txt restriction affects future collection.
